Unvented hot water systems provide stored hot water at mains pressure. This is usually to provide showers with good water pressure and volume without the need for a pump. We can specify, supply and install an unvented hot water cylinder to suit your requirements provided you have an adequate cold mains supply. We also service and maintain unvented cylinders. Always ensure that your plumbing and heating engineer is suitably qualified to work on unvented hot water.

Keep your inspections and services up to date
Ensure you have unvented hot water cylinders inspected annually by a qualified engineer.

Make sure your back up systems function correctly
If you have a back up hot water immersion heater, check it that it works once every six months. Every
immersion heater should be fitted with a safety cut out feature, this will be clearly labelled on the cover. If it does not mention a safety cut out device on the cover, do not use it! It may need replacing.

            Is your unvented cylinder dripping?
A drip or leak from the tundish or discharge pipe externally means there is a fault with your unit. Please contact a G3 qualified engineer.
